It would appear that one track on our new CD
Train Wreck has become "topical."

In one of the most classic melt-downs in history, Steven Slater, a now former JetBlue flight attendant, deplaned in spectacular fashion following a heated conflict with a passenger, and has become a folk hero in the process. Read the article
here.
It would appear that Mr. Slater lives up to our "Jaded" tune... a truly jaded flight attendant!
Bravo, Steven! Hopefully you don't end up in jail...

Back in May we performed at
Diesel in Pittsburgh.
Here is a video of the opening song from our set. The song is
Faded and appears on our

THE NEW CD IS FINALLY HERE! To celebrate the arrival of our fifth album, we have published a Flash
mini site where you can listen to clips from the album, view some of the artwork, and link to our various online presences (like
Facebook and our
MySpace page which is in serious need of a face lift). Please check it out and check back there frequently in the weeks ahead as we will be posting links to
our store at CD Baby when the album is finally for sale.
Oh - and HELLO CHI-TOWN! We'll be playing three shows tomorrow... one in Highland Park, and two in
Winnetka Park! We hope to see you there!
Before I go into the details, on behalf of the whole band I want to extend our gratitude to every one of our friends and fans who came out to Club Diesel in Pittsburgh last night to support us in Round 3 of the Rock Off. We are truly blessed to have such wonderful people supporting us as we have for over 14 years as Mind's I. We sold the maximum allowed of 100 tickets, chartered a bus for 48 people to make the trek from Butler, and, in my opinion, put on one hell of a half-hour set. Based on the responses we got from all of you afterward, I think we accomplished what we set out to do - and that was to show the region that we are indeed back in a big way.
Unfortunately, in the end it was the last band of the evening, a rap/metal outfit called
Bloodshot Robot, who won and will advance to the finals. (See
this link for the Rock Off's MySpace page). Congrats to those guys.
We also want to send a shout out to Mike and Bob from the first band of the evening (
Wicked Earth). We got to hand out a bit before the show at McArdle's just down 16th Street from Diesel. Great guys and a terrific band. Check them out if you like bands like
Tool.
Once again, thank you all for coming out and supporting us. We are humbled to have such a great group of people who care about us so deeply. More to come...
Peace and Love,
Scott

Thanks to Liz Scott and the good people at the
Butler Eagle for running a nice article on the band in yesterday's paper. Click the image above to download a PDF version.
We also want to thank Bob Cupp on the
WBUT Morning Show as well as Jay Kline on the
AllHitz 97.7 FM Morning Show for having Tom on yesterday morning to talk about the band, the big Diesel show this weekend, and the forthcoming album. Tom had a great time and we all thank you guys for having him on the air! Tom even debuted the first single live on Jay's show: the sentimental rocker
In The Afternoon. If you were listening in, and you liked what you heard, please remember to buy a copy of the album on CD or via digital download when it becomes available in the next few weeks. Please check back here for updates!
